About the position 

A three-year 20 % position as researcher (SKO 1109) in cardiac biomarkers is available at the Secretoneurin work package led by Prof Helge Røsjø, Division of Medicine and Laboratory Sciences, Institute of Clinical Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Oslo. 

The research is anchored in the K.G. Jebsen Centre for Cardiac Biomarkers led by professor Torbjørn Omland at Campus Ahus (Akershus University Hospital).


Job description and work tasks 

The researcher will

  • be responsible for the administration of various cardiovascular research bio-banks
  • contribute to the scientific work and manuscript preparation related to research on Secretoneurin
  • contribute to other relevant scientific manuscript preparations
  • contribute to grant application processes

The position has external funding for up to 3 years. 


Qualification requirements

  • MD or MSc in Bioscience, Molecular Biology or equivalent 
  • PhD in translational medicine
  • Research experience in a relevant field (cardiology, molecular biology, cell biology, etc)
  • Administrative scientific responsibilities 
  • Documented previous research experience within the field of translational research
  • Publications in high ranked international journals
  • Experience in writing research applications 
  • Fluent in English and Norwegian
