On behalf of ABB, we are seeking a Project Engineer Automation!

We are looking for motivated engineers to take the role as Project Engineer in our automation department in Bergen. In this position you will be part of planning and execution of engineering activities such as HW/SW design, programming, on-site implementation, test and commissioning on ABBs control systems.

We have an increasing project volume in our automation department. Projects are mainly related to modification projects and Control System upgrades in the Oil and Gas segment onshore and offshore. Modernizing and streamlining our installed base to ensure stability and efficiency with top technology and long-lasting solutions.

The technology will typically be 800xA, Advant, Safeguard, Harmony/Symphony+ and Melody.

The position is located at ABB’s office in Bergen.

Responsibilities:

• Planning and execution of engineering activities such as HW/SW design, implementation, test and commissioning (onshore and offshore) on ABBs control systems
• Control system setup and configuration
• Programming of ABB controllers and HMI
• Travelling must be expected

Your background:

• B.Sc/M.Sc. in relevant field (automation, cybernetics, IT, process control or similar)
• Good programming and computer knowledge
• Experience with control systems is an advantage
• Good communication skills in English, oral and written. Norwegian is an advantage
