FOR OUR CLIENT IN THE OIL SERVICE INDUSTRY, WE ARE LOOKING FOR A MOTIVATED WAREHOUSE WORKER/TRUCK DRIVER FOR A TEMPORARY POSITION WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO GO PERMANENT.
The temporary position starts as soon as possible, expected duration is 12 months, although good opportunities for extension are available.
As Warehouse worker, you will participate in all warehouse activities to provide state of the art service and success.
Must have a T-4 truck licence
You will participate in the service delivery of receival, unpacking, packing, storing, counting, loadouts and backloads, freight, system updates and day to day logistic.
You will utilize your skills to improve performance to achieve our business targets. Crucial to this role will be your ability to drive continual improvement processes, enhancing the logistic process, performance and capabilities for our business to surpass internal and external customers' expectations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Safety is Priority 1 in all we do, and act accordingly
· Participate and contribute to that the HSE culture is an integrated and natural part of the daily work activities throughout the department,
· Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
· Actively follow and pursue the SVF culture (slogan); we provide increased customer competitiveness, profitability and value through SEQDC - Safety, Environment, Quality, Delivery and Cost and effective manufacturing
· Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
· Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
· Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
· Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation
· Report any discrepancies
· Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
· Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment
· Be a contributor to achieve the goals and KPI - key performance indicators set up for the department and unit
· Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities both internally and externally
· Conduct investigations into inventory management incidents in order to verify and resolve complaints
· Focus on inventory
· Manage the obsolescence or slow moving assets and inventories
· Support and/or coordinate as needed with regards to asset listings or inventory counts
· Review and analyze compiled inventory reports (quantity, type and value of materials, and equipment and stock on hand)
· Monitor customer issues, feedback, deadlines, and deliverables and ensure customer issues are handled effectively and quickly, adapting, improving and communicating internal processes as and where necessary
· Attend other assignments and projects when needed
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
· Proven working experience as a Warehouse Worker
· Proficiency in ERP inventory software, databases and systems
· Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
· Customer focused and communication skills
· Good organisational and time management skills
· Ability to lift and move objects
· Forklift licence and applicable certificates to perform the job in a safe and effective manner
