Are you an experienced kitchen leader or chef with a passion for food and local ingredients? Would you like to be part of building a new culinary destination from the ground up? you will have the unique opportunity to shape the menu, lead a dedicated team, and influence the guest experience.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a restaurant, or other relevant experiences
Have relevant degree certificate(s)
Citizen from EU/EØS
Creativity, curiosity, and confidence in high-pressure situations
Strong knowledge of local ingredients and menu development
Ability to motivate a team and maintain high standards of hygiene and quality
Basic skills in cost control and inventory management
Excellent communication skills with a desire to create great guest experiences
A willingness to interact directly with guests through personal presentations of the menu
Must be willing to move to Horten or a city close by
As a Sous Chef , you will have the unique opportunity to shape the menu, lead a dedicated team, and influence the guest experience. We are looking for creative, structured, and inspiring leaders who want to create unique culinary experiences using the best seasonal ingredients. The menu will be relative small, seasonal and based on smaller courses so our guest can taste various delicacies from visit to vist.

Fjord Bistro & Vinbar will open 08. march 2025 and enjoys an idyllic location at the marina in the heart of Horten, with stunning views of the Oslofjord. We have approx. 80 seats inside and 150 seats outside. Fjord Bistro & Vinbar is set to become the city's new culinary destination---a modern and vibrant meeting place combining the best of traditional bistro culture with innovative, sustainable cuisine.
We aim to combine a casual yet sophisticated atmosphere with seasonal, high-quality ingredients sourced from local producers. By working closely with local suppliers and partners, we ensure that we always offer the best on our menu, for both food and beverages.
Our vision is to be an inclusive and inspiring space where local flavors meet creativity and craftsmanship . At Fjord Bistro & Vinbar, it's all about creating authentic, local culinary experiences with a strong focus on quality, innovation, and sustainability.
