Over the past years, IFE has seen strong success in securing EU-funded projects, reflecting our strategic focus on sustainable technologies, green energy solutions, and future-oriented energy systems. As our EU project portfolio grows, so does the need for professional communication and dissemination to ensure visibility, stakeholder engagement, and project impact.

We are now looking for a creative, visually skilled communication advisor who is passionate about translating science and innovation into engaging content for different audiences. You will support EU-funded research projects by developing digital content, managing channels, and ensuring that IFE’s work is seen, understood, and appreciated across the European research landscape. This is a three year, temporary position. 

The position reports to the Head of the EU Department, Carlos Escudero. Workplace is Kjeller

Key responsibilities 

• Plan and execute communication and visibility activities in EU projects, including social media, websites, and campaigns. 
• Create and publish visual and written content (graphics, videos, posts, presentations) tailored to project goals and a variety of audiences. 
• Translate scientific concepts into clear, engaging messages suitable for experts, stakeholders, and the public. 
• Maintain and update project websites using CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) 
• Develop and manage editorial calendars for social media and coordinate communication inputs from project partners 
• Contribute to the implementation of Communication and Dissemination Plans (CDPs) and support preparation of related deliverables and reports. 
• Support the organization and promotion of events such as webinars, workshops, and conferences—including development of promotional materials and documentation. 
• Help strengthen IFE’s visibility in the European Commission and international research networks through high-quality and coordinated communication activities

Qualifications 

• Degree in Communication, Digital Media, Marketing, or a related field. In special cases, a lack of formal qualifications may be compensated by specific and relevant experience. 
• Experience managing social media professionally. 
• Strong writing and editing skills in English. 
• Experience with WordPress or similar CMS platforms. 
• Proficiency in video editing and visual content creation (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva)
• A sharp visual sense and ability to create aesthetically appealing, brand-aligned content.
• Familiarity with Horizon Europe or other EU-funded project frameworks is an advantage. 
• Knowledge of Horizon Europe communication and dissemination requirements is desirable. 
• Basic knowledge of SEO and digital analytics tools is a plus
